Because someone commented on the prank hiatus turning out true, so I figured I might as well give you the lowdown here.

For those that have me (and by me I mean thefreshchuff) friended, you most likely know this already. About four days ago, the hard drive of the computer that I had my Sims game on, in simple terms, died. Completely fried. So, while I do have the Sims on a backup disc, it'll be a while before I get the computer back, install the Sims, reinstall my Sims, etc., etc..

Anyways, I'm most definitely taking a hiatus, though I have actually been on one for quite some time.

Sorry guys, but computer crashes happen, and they suck. :( Anyways, I will have Sim stories again, but I honestly don't know when I'll have the time or the functioning computer to do it.

Due to the number of so-annoying-I-want-to-rip-my-hair-out nudges that people have been sending me even though I specifically asked you NOT TO, I have no other choice. I ask you to be paitent and what do I get? I get nudged.

My_Sim_Stories will be on hiatus until further notice. I'm sorry that I have to do this, but I don't have the time, energy, or the funny in me anymore and this constant nagging just isn't worth it.

You people are just ridiculous.

I got an email saying that I could pre-order the new Sims Open For Business (which looks pretty cool, I'm excited for the new kids toys) and that made me realize just how far behind I am on these stories. I mean, most of the screen caps in this post are from August. So I've got some free time today, so this is uh, what I'm going to do.

All right, all right, I'll update. (My numbering for these pictures is so fucked up. All of my images are marked 22_number now, even though it's the 21st post. So I guess the 22nd post will all be numbered with 23's and the madness will just continue forever.)

Also, while I was kind of sad to see quite a few people that had me friended since virtually the very beginning of the journal had unfriended me, I've deleted everyone who's deleted me. But just so you know, you guys, I do intend to keep this journal up. :)

Eta: Speaking of the great gap of time between updates, I'd just like to add this: Do NOT nudge me under ANY circumstance. This is a stupid new addition to livejournal and being annoying isn't going to make me want to update any sooner. (And honestly, why do we even need nudges when you can just comment and whine about needing an update? Not that you guys whine, I'm just having a rant.)

Totally Courtney's fault for a myriad of reasons I can't even begin to make up. So it's not, actually. Sorry, Courtney. Update ahead, anyways. (Which you can thank myst56 for, since she reminded me this thing is like, here.)

But a few words: I've lost a lot of interest in Harry Potter since the 6th book came out, so that's about all the excuse I have for my delay in doing anything on this journal. But, thanks to a long list of Percy/Oliver sites, my interest in the characters have resurfaced and I actually have interest in diving into my overwhelmingly large EA Games snapshots folder for another installment! There will more after this, hopefully in rapid succession, because I do believe I have some good pictures left to use and some more witty lines to waste. So I guess I'm back from the unannounced hiatus! I hope you all haven't unfriended me and do actually see this update...

The long delay is easy to explain: To make up for the long delay between parts, I decided to make this part longer. 3 sections instead of 2. However, in making this part longer, I also lengthened the delay between posts. So I obviously thought nothing through. But anyway. Onwards to the story.

James and Lily had to move as well. That house was just buggy as shit (as if that's an expression) (NO WAIT IT CAN BE BECAUSE SHIT IS ALWAYS COVERED IN FLIES) (HAHAHAHAA) (moving on.) so I had to move them as well.

So I went on Livejournal and noticed that my header for my journal wasn't working and, upon further inspection, found that my website had been disabled! Minor panic attack on my part. Turned out that my bandwidth had exceeded the limit or rather trampled the limit and drug it through the mud kicking and screaming. Never fear, I've purchased more bandwidth, so all of the pictures and everything should now be working.

Working on a new part now, I guess I want to challenge Yahoo! for shutting down my site by putting more pressure on it, I don't know. It should be up in either a number of hours or days, who knows.

So okay, I was just going to redo the User Info a little bit because I just learned how to do image maps and thought it'd be fun. Well, I didn't get around to that, but I did make a strangely comprehensive User Info with so many goddamnfucking links I could vomit am surprised. So you should take a look at it, there are some pretty useful and random links in there (such as various help forums, Sims sites, directions for updating your video drivers, I went completely overboard.) I wanted to have images but am not a skilled image maker, but I am apparently very good at finding URLs and making links. Yeah, that's a great skill.

Hope someone finds it helpful and uh, informative.

What have I been up to? Well, nothing very production. A friend of mine and I started a community of pure silliness called ramblingsinsane for our own rambling purposes. And then I almost crashed my Sims game, that was fun.

But then I noticed that Lily had something for me. A little booklet with a small collection of nicely done photographs of certain characters in their toddler years. A Baby Album, if you will. And one that's not a baby picture.

I just looked around my desk and realized I have four different bottles of water, all with ample amounts of water inside, sitting around me. I feel like that girl from Signs, who took 2 sips from a glass and set it somewhere. At least if we have an alien attack I'll be good to go.
